What I like about Todoist is the fact that is so down to earth, so practical. Similar to the cool Ubiquity add-on Mozilla released it has a logical approach towards GTD.
@addiktion: We should not confuse attention -a big presence in uservoice- with actual need for "the average todoist user". Would it not be interesting to know the percentage Iphone users within the Todoist community? Of course, the popular vote for overhyped hardware will allways win and for marketing sake it's a valid reason to create this Iphone version.
Next fight: +600 votes VERSUS common sense.
Why? Well just how many Todoistas actually use an Iphone? 20%? that would be fairly high. So +600 : 5 = +125 actual votes. True weight has many faces. (And if I remember well Amir asked for dev support on this so this task could on top of another wishlist called; Outsourced).
NO! This NOT a good idea at all.
1. First, to mark an item as "to do"? It's in Todoist already! To do is not a category but the reason we all use this app!
2. Second: "in progress" meaning something like: I'm busy doing what I planned to do. well, that's good for you, but should we make a button to mark this fact? Not!
3. Third: "complete". Good idea but it already exists so why make it double?
Is this is why he made Todoist in the first place, to help himself. If this is true than it could be especially difficult to do this job. But than again...he's so gifted he could pull it off if the sets his mind to it. So, I'd like say: GO AMIR GO!!!!!!!
This conversation should be an indication to pull the plug, to stop inquiring, to start working. I think it's crystal clear to Amir what he should or could do by now.
He just finished working on AJS 4.5 so now he could make the improvements that are needed. But perhaps Amir has trouble with starting or completing this task?
very good point. I guess it's safe to assume "first things first" within a label makes sense for some tasks. I find myself reordering tasks and it feels like a waste of time. Your proposal though logic will not win the populair vote but it would improve Todoist for sure. What to do...
