yes this would be such a simple, but sometime very handy addition to todoist.
now i email some tasks from my smartphone to my personal email, only to copy past it later into todoist
i highly agree. there are many times i'm out with my personal cell phone (which doesn't have a browser) and i think of a task to add. i would love to be able to shoot off a text and have the task added to my list.
It would be great to have the subject line of the email be a task, with the body as a subtask without a check box (lead with a "*") I often paste the body of an email sent to me as a subtask this way.
As e-mail is the top 1 of incoming channel of "stuff" it would be VERY handy to simply forward an incoming e-mail to a specific address like: metallator@todoist.com, and the message will appear as a new task; eliminating the necessity of retyping the message
I would really appreciate to be able to email tasks to todoist, as at work the possibility to have javascript-bookmarks is disabled, which makes it impossible to make use of the gmail-integration...
i just read on lifehacker about this new email todolist manager called gootodo. i would love something like this for todoist just because it's the best! clean, simple, with keyboard shortcuts... just need to be able to email in tasks!
Yes the gmail integration is nice but the power lies in easily moving information from one form or container to another without retyping it. Mailing and texting myself tasks is a great example.
I got used to doing this with Vitalist, and its great for having other people (the wife) add tasks for you.
It would also make it so any device/app with email could add tasks (Twitter and Jott like stickysteph said). This should take priority over specific implementations for those services.
I would love to be able to txt an item to Todoist. That would be really handy on the go and would potentially eliminate (or at least reduce) the need to interface with other apps like Twitter and Jott. Skip the middle man! =0]

I was a Twitter user and now I am a Jaiku user, both services use sms to receive updates e it is very practical and useful. like the Zen of Todoist.
