  Todoist down again last night, now it's up 90% of my tasks have been marked as completed and I can't restore them. No communication and no apologies - this is inexcusable. I'm now searching for alternatives as I can't trust this service anymore - and I paid for it too. I'm really fuming and feel thoroughly let down.

  In addition to improving system uptime, two fallbacks are in order:

  1. Offline mode - Use HTML5 storage to keep a local copy of my tasks available even if Todoist goes down, and re-sync when Todoist is back online

  2. Allow me to opt for an email-copy of my tasks on a daily basis, in either plaintext, JSON or XML ofrmat.

  Absolutely agree. It's pathetic when the weakest link in my time management system is my task management tool...and I can't so much as get an update as to the problem.
